License

Team Jesus licenses ministers who have been recognized to have the calling, training, and experience to conduct spiritual leadership and guidance within the presence of fellow believers as clergy, pastors, teachers, preachers, counselors, and ministers. Licenses are issued for a specified period upon which there is a renewal process after expiration.  The purpose of expiration is not to suggest the licensed minister no longer has a calling, as God’s gifts and call are irrevocable (Romans 11:29) rather, it is for the purpose of accountability.  Those coming with verifiable credentials, training, or experience will be fully recognized. Assistance will be given to those seeking Licensure insofar as training and education.

Ordination

The Team Jesus Ordination is the recognition of the calling or command by God upon an individual, setting them apart for ministry and providing an occasion that will encourage them in the life of service to come.  Ordination means to issue an order or command.  It’s ecclesiastical meaning is to invest with ministerial or priestly authority. Only God can ordain ministers. Team Jesus provides recognition of God’s ordination of persons offering Certificates of Ordination, Ceremonies of Recognition and Celebration of their ordination. The anointing and laying on of hands is clearly an antecedent to ordination.

According to some “Main Stream Church Authorities” the Licensed Minister has the authority to perform all rites of the church except for the wedding ceremony.  The Ordained Mister has the authority to perform all rites of the church including the wedding ceremony. This idea is not supported biblically; however, some state laws follow these guidelines and these laws change from state to state.  Some states require only credentials while others require state registration and strict documentation.  It is best to research your state laws before performing public services as such.   We will work with you to provide the credentials you require. 

Applicants must determine wether they are seeking a License and/or Ordination.  Our Membership Director can help with this process to insure better understanding.  It is our desire to provide those credentials necessary to equip you to fullfill God’s calling upon your life.
