Just Some of Our Works
These are just a few of the types of ministries Team Jesus works with. We have a multiplicity of creative and imaginative ministries hosted by our ministers.
Prison and Jail Ministries
Nearly 80% of Team Jesus Ministers are involved in prison and jail ministries across the country. These ministries have proven themselves to be successful for both the incarcerated and the institutions they serve. Wardens and Sheriffs agree Christian services help with not only decreasing recidivism rates but also as well as improving inmate to jailer relationships, curbing violence and tensions in prison environments. Chaplains are very much in demand across the country. Not everyone is suited for this type of ministry. It takes a special personality and demeanor to survive and be successful behind the bars. Team Jesus has counseled and trained a multitude of Chaplains in it’s history. If you are seeking information or training you can contact our Directors of Men’s and Women’s Chaplain Services, Rev. Jeff Hayes and Rev. Donna Crumbley.
Street Ministries
Street or Homeless ministry is historical to America beginning during the Great Depression and unfortunately into current day recessions. There will always be a need for this type of ministry in our urban communities as people migrate to cities for support in times of need. Street ministries require resource and organizational skills. Putting together supplies and volunteers isn’t something that comes natural to every minister. If you possess the desire and calling things always go so much smoother. Don’t be surprised at the supernatural help the Lord provides to this type of ministry (Matt 25:31). Local grocery and restaurants are often willing to donate to these efforts. Call us if you want to discuss how to get started in this type of ministry. Our people have decades of first hand experience and knowledge in this area and will help you to sort out your approach.
Food Pantry Ministries
Food Pantries across the country have long since been a life line to families in need of food supplements and even full grocery orders for as long as there has been hunger. The majority of pantries are centric to churches or christian ministries across the country. They grow best out of compassion but sometimes become necessities for communities in decline. Most of us are aware of the issues facing people who fall upon hard times and having to depend on community and church based pantries for temporary or even sustainable assistance. Often the elderly or those on fixed incomes fall below the poverty line; it’s not always the homeless or jobless. Most pantries help those who can no longer work due to medical or physical impairments. Those pantries which are faith based and have organized programs such as programs to help counsel and return people to work or health, are the ones most successful. Big businesses have begun a trend in supporting major city food banks as they are capable of keeping up with the flow of over stockage and fast spoiling food items and can handle greater volume, but there are still local businesses who save items for local pantries. Operating a food pantry is a special calling but one that touches many hearts in a community. Pantries organized and operated by spiritual based programs seem to be the most successful. If this is the ministry you wish to pursue contact us as we have decades of experience and knowledge in this ministry area.
